Barbara Burns, L.Ac.
Barbara Burns, L.Ac., is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist who has practiced in Arcadia and Sierra Madre for the past eleven years. Prior to opening her practice, she had careers as a secondary school teacher and as a national media spokesperson for a Beverly Hills-based hotel chain.
Voted “Best Acupuncturist” by the San Gabriel Valley Core Media Group weekly newspaper readership three years in a row, Barbara was graduated from SAMRA University, the oldest acupuncture college in the country, with a perfect 4.0 academic average. Since graduation in l996, she has pursued specialized studies in fertility and musculoskeletal conditions, including a year-long, 200-hour course in orthopedic acupuncture. Barbara has given talks in the community for the Los Angeles Diabetic Association, "Traditional Chinese Medicine: What is it and How Does It Work?", and Mended Hearts, Cardiac Support Group, Methodist Hospital, "The Role of Acupuncture in Cardiac Recovery".
About Lynette
Lynette Lee serves as the Office Manager, taking care of scheduling, most business, and herbal and product inventory here at the clinic.
With Barbara now for over 6 years, she is comfortable in continuing to be a steady helping aspect in a healing/health environment. She is also a Yoga teacher in the Kripalu tradition, teaches yoga to youth and adults and is a BioSonics tuning forks practitioner.
